New blog I love

I love to cook and to bake. I may not be a chef, but I think I do OK.

I really like baking the most, though, maybe because I have such a sweet tooth.

My friends know that when we have any kind of get-together, I will make iced sugar cookies. I have tons of cookie cutters that I use, and I can get my icing as smooth as silk.

I was pretty proud of my cookies until I found this blog yesterday.

Oh my goodness. I have a whole new inspiration now!

I've always been to scared too even attempt to decorate cookies like these, but the lady behind this blog gives full instructions with pictures and everything.

And her creations are gorgeous!!

I did attempt my first set of decorated cookies yesterday to take to a friend's house for dessert.

Needless to say, I learned several things not to do when trying to make pretty cookies.

My family is excited to learn that I will be trying this out often in the weeks ahead.

As they start looking cute, I'll post pictures.
