My days seem to be running together lately, but as I was watching my husband practice baseball with my nephew this afternoon, I remembered that I have a blog.
When my kids were babies, my husband dreamed about coaching his son's sports teams as they got older.
It's funny how God's plans are always so different than ours. Neither of my boys are in sports!
(But that's totally ok. We love them and are so proud of the godly men they are becoming!)
For Father's Day we spent the afternoon with my husband's family. My nephews were there and the five year-old is in t-ball.
It brought my husband great joy to give him some lessons on hitting and catching.
(And honestly, that kid is a natural athlete.)
This weekend we also celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary. Woo hoo!
We spent the evening at my SIL and BIL's brand new restaurant, which is so much more amazing than anything I could put into words, with my daughter's boyfriend's parents.
(Did you catch all that?)
They were married the same year we were, just two weeks before. Pretty cool, huh?
The dinner was great and the fellowship was even greater.
Then we went to Best Buy and my husband bought me an iPod Touch. Oh my goodness, I am in love! (With him and my new gadget, of course.)
This week my two oldest kids are going to church camp, and my youngest son and I are heading to visit my parents and family. I have been looking forward to this for a long time, and I'm excited about getting away and visiting.
I felt a little guilty leaving my husband for a few days, but since the College World Series is going on, I doubt he'll even know I'm gone.
Hope your week is fabulous!
happy 17th! that's awesome! but, you don't look old enough to be married 17 yrs!
